Miles A. Mason, DDS, MSD
Dr. Mason has been involved in the practice of periodontics since 2010. He has recently purchased Montgomery County Periodontal Associates and looks forward to expanding upon his eight years of work with patients in the field of dentistry in his hometown. In his tenure as a resident at the University of Texas School of Dentistry, Dr. Mason had the privilege of teaching roughly 250 dental students to recognize and begin the intervention of periodontal disease. While still a resident, Dr. Mason also conducted research to further the understanding of how inflammation of the gum tissue is related to inflammation in the rest of the body.
Dr. Mason is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, The Greater Houston Society of Periodontics, and The Southwest Society of Periodontics, where he has had the opportunity to present on dental implant related issues. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. While a student member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Mason twice organized a team of fellow dental students from Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine to lobby the U.S. Congress on dental health related issues.
Dr. Mason grew up in The Woodlands area, attending The Academy of Science and Technology for his high school education. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Texas at Austin, he attended Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine in New York City, where he met his lovely wife, Jessica. Dr. Mason has been blessed with two children, Bennett and Aubrey. He would finish a rigorous residency program in periodontics at The University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. While a resident, Dr. Mason was awarded both the Tebow Memorial Scholarship and the Caffessee scholarships based on excellent clinical and academic performance.
Dr. Mason is proud to bring state-of-the-art treatment along with the recognition of his peers back to his hometown.
